Vermont For Vintage
We all know that Vermont is one of the states which hosts antique car shows often and the granddaddy of all the antique car shows, the Stowe Car Show, is hosting their 50th anniversary this coming August 10-12 of 2007. The organization has been established and staged by four hundred members of the Vermont Auto Enthusiasts; one thing unique about this edition is that it represents the 50th iteration of one of the state’s premier summer recreation events. The three-day highlights of the event includes a large automotive flea market filling over four hundred exhibit spaces and a car corral with an estimated 150 “for sale” antique cars. Saturday’s events include the fashion judging contest of period attire, a collector car parade in and around Stowe and the annual street dance. Sunday features technical judging of qualified vehicles and the awards ceremony finale in the afternoon.
If you are interested in joining the antique car show this year, you could visit their website at www.vtauto.org for more information. Cakes and ice cream will be flowing throughout the event to honor their 50th anniversary.
