in all the articles i have read on should you rustproof your car or not there is so much missing in all. first what is the course of rust? #1. moister and humidity #2. air born fallout #3 salt. all of these elements will speed up the corrosion process in metal . if you look at all manufactures warranties they will all cover against defects in material and workmanship and thats it . in fact all will exclude all the problems in our environment that cause and speeds up the rusting process . so if you live in a area that is dry and where they do not use salt, and not a lot of air born fallout. than the factory warranty is all you really need . the term rust belt was ment for a reason.
